Why we're free (and how we stay free)

Resume builders that charge $20-$50/month are selling templates and a PDF export. Both of those cost us essentially nothing. Templates are React components we wrote once. PDFs are generated client-side in your browser using html-to-image + jspdf. We're not paying per export, so we don't need to charge per export.

The genuinely expensive thing is AI features — and we keep those generous on the free tier because most users only need a handful of rewrites to ship a resume. If we ever launch paid features, they'll be things like premium template packs or unlimited AI rewrites for power users. The core "make a resume and download it" loop stays free.

Common questions

Is it really free, or is there a catch?

Really free. Build, edit, download — all unlimited, all $0. No card on file. No "free trial" timer. The PDF you download has no watermark.

Do I need to sign up?

No. You can use the entire editor without an account. Signing up is optional, only useful if you want your resume to sync across devices.

Are the templates actually ATS-friendly?

Yes. We built every template with applicant tracking systems in mind: semantic headings, parseable fonts, no images blocking content. We also bundle a live ATS scoring widget so you can grade your own resume before sending it.

Can I edit my resume after downloading?

The PDF is what it is — your edits happen in the editor. But because the editor auto-saves to your browser (or your account if you sign up), you can come back any time and re-export.

What if I import my LinkedIn and it parses wrong?

You can edit anything in the form afterwards. The LinkedIn import is a starting point, not a final state. Most users adjust a few date formats and re-word a couple of bullets.
